Wholesale of fruit and vegetables
This Spanish agricultural cooperative, also known as COSANSE, is engaged in the production and wholesale distribution of fresh fruits. It was established in May of 1955. Its registered head office is located in La Almunia de Dona Godina, in the province of Zaragoza. The cooperative is a leader in fruit production and distribution in the region of Aragon. With more than 1,000 hectares in the Valdejalon area, it produces annually approximately 2,000 tons of cherries, 800 tons of apricots, 400 tons of plums, 6,000 tons of peaches, 5,000 tons of nectarines, 6,000 tons of apples, and 3,000 tons of pears. All of its production processes are carried out in accordance with the most rigorous phytosanitary controls. The cooperative stores approximately 25,000 tons of fruits per year. With a team comprising more than 800 productive partners, it sells its products under the COSANSE brand. Additional brands include Somerset and Sweet Heart (for cherries), Orange Red (for apricots), Sun Gold (for plums), Royal Glory and Rich Lady (for peaches) and Big Top and Venus (for nectarines).
